I hope you enjoy the photographs I have featured in my landscape photography gallery. I hope they give you some inspiration, calm your day and perhaps even motivate you towards you goals.

If I can successfully communicate the emotion I felt when I took these photographs, to you completely then I have been successful in what I set out to do each time I pick up my camera. That goal is that I want you to feel the emotion that I felt while I photographed the scene. If I can communicate that pure. raw emotion then I consider the photograph I created successful. I want you to feel what I feel. My main goal when I purposefully set to produce a fine art photograph is to successfully communicate the pure unbiased emotions that I felt as I contemplated and photographed the scene in front of me.

I’ve been photographing landscape and wildlife around my home Banff, Jasper, Yoho, and Kootaney National parks since I moved here in 1996. In the past 20 years I have not only learned ALL of the best areas to photograph in the mountain parks, but I’ve learned which locations will be at their best given the light and weather in the given moment. I believe this can only be learned through years of close intimate personal experience gained by living and traveling throughout the area. My sense of place matures and continues to deepen the longer I live here.

If you’re a photographer, and you only plan to be here for a few days, then it might be a good idea to hire me for a half day or a full day tour near the beginning of your trip. During the tour I will pass on as much information about where all the good landscape and wildlife photography locations are in the mountains, and at what time and with what weather will help them to be at their photographic best. I honestly believe this one on one personal instruction during a private tour will help you to make your landscape and wildlife photography experience during your trip here to be significantly more enriching.
